The lights in the store window look white, unfortunately, in this picture. But they are actually a sort of light blue. I know from being there at this time of year that the British love these light blue Christmas lights and put them up everywhere. It looks like the fashion may be about to spread here too. After all, the British custom of “crackers” is spreading here too. Crackers are elegantly wrapped toilet paper cardboard roll bases with tissue paper crowns, cheap cracker jack like prizes, and corny jokes inside them.
